The Ocean Course designed by Els is a masterclass in using the natural lay of the land in course design, 3 distinct 9 holes gives golfers the opportunity to sample every terrain the Desaru Coast has to offer, from lush rainforests to the coast framed by the South China Sea. It’s generous fairways and large greens are a welcome sight for newer golfers who seek a stress free experience. The Valley Course appeals to a slightly more skilled golfer with it’s narrower landing zones and raised greens. Vijay Singh’s design puts a premium on patience and ball placement, if you manage to keep your ball in play through smart decision making you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment like no other when you’ve tamed the testing par 72 layout.

Regardless of your score the Els Club clubhouse is a welcome sanctuary for all after a memorable day out on the course. Enjoy the lavishly appointed changing rooms or grab a hearty meal and a cold drink at the signature restaurant, The Big Easy Bar & Grill, overlooking the finishing holes on the Ocean Course. For those who still can’t get enough of golf there’s a spacious grass driving range and perfectly manicured practice facilities just a stones throw from the clubhouse.
